EN 1.0070 steel is a carbon (non-alloy) steel formulated for primary forming into wrought products. Cited properties are appropriate for the hot worked condition. 1.0070 is the EN numeric designation for this material. E360 is the EN chemical designation.

It has a very low base cost among wrought carbon or non-alloy steels. In addition, it has a very low electrical conductivity and a fairly high thermal conductivity.
