AWS ER120S-1 or ER83S-1 (K21030) Weld Metal

AWS ER120S-1 is a weld metal formulated for joining alloy steels. Cited properties are appropriate for the as-welded condition. ER120S-1 is the AWS designation for this material. K21030 is the UNS number.

It has a fairly low ductility among alloy steel welding fillers. In addition, it has a very high tensile strength and a moderately high embodied energy.

The graph bars on the material properties cards below compare AWS ER120S-1 to: alloy steel welding fillers (top), all iron alloys (middle), and the entire database (bottom). A full bar means this is the highest value in the relevant set. A half-full bar means it's 50% of the highest, and so on.
